Key Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Supervise Research Activities
- Oversee the conduct of COPD studies, ensuring smooth recruitment, enrollment, and follow-ups.
- Report weekly progress to ensure study goals are met in a timely manner.
- Participant Coordination
- Coordinate participant visits and follow-ups.
- Schedule appointments, track, and locate participants as needed.
- Assist with recruitment and telephone pre-screening when necessary.
- Staff Monitoring and Training
- Monitor staff adherence to recruitment protocols and delivery of study procedures.
- Train and supervise new and existing research assistants and students.
- Assign visits to research assistants, track visit completion, and inform staff of upcoming clinic appointments.
- Consent and Documentation
- Ensure proper written informed consent is obtained from each study participant before entering the study.
- Maintain original signed and dated consent forms in participants’ research records.
- Study Management
- Address any concerns or issues that arise during visit assessments.
- Troubleshoot participant difficulties with assessment completion.
- Coordinate pharmacy refill records and medication treatment plans for participants.
